Between Memory and Hope: Bridgefolk at Ten Years
In August 1999 twenty-five Catholics and Mennonites gathered at Laurelville Mennonite Church Center around the question: “How do we bridge the Mennonite and Catholic traditions?” Ten years later, Bridgefolk has become a supportive community for Mennonites and Catholics seeking to bridge these two traditions. The 2009 Conference will reflect on the past ten years of Bridgefolk as we revisit Laurelville Mennonite Church Center, August 21-24. Lois and Ivan Kauffman will guide us in storytelling and group reflection on the theme “Between Memory and Hope: Bridgefolk at Ten Years.” As we seek to acknowledge the work of the Spirit in our past, we will also look to the future by asking who we are called to become. Registration and lodging information for the conference are available through the links below. The conference program will run from Friday evening, August 21, through noon, August 24. Meals will be provided, as will childcare. All facilities are handicap accessible.
